I use Reason Adapted for Korg and a few soft synths...and a few other toys and goodies...

Welcome aboard, wouldn't go ditching reason just yet though, esp if you've been with it a while. Works great rewired

Yeah I used to rewire reason into Ableton, but most of the time I was only using the redrum machine. i started using GURU and decided that reason was no longer a part of the picture for me.

To each his own though, of course

Welcome.

Ditching Reason for Ableton is like ditching chocolate syrup for ice cream. Did you sell your license, de-install your crack, or just stop using it? On second thought, don't answer that question about the crack

The point is, "Reason vs. Live" doesn't really exist. It isn't a Coke vs. Pepsi, Mac vs. PC sort of thing.

I still have reason on my machine (yes I actually paid for it) - so it's definitely still at my fingertips. I just found myself not using it at all anymore.

I think my vst's sound better than reason instruments and the GURU drum machine in my opinion is superior to redurm.

I make mostly hip-hop (sampled and non-sampled) if you were wondering.

PS - what are the Unicorns all about? When does the hazing begin?

this isn't a very hazey forum. typically, the worst anyone gets around here is a RTFM, but half the time, even those are accompanied by a page number!

for example:

n00b: "how do i turn on the metronome in abeltons'?"

veteran poster:
" RTFM, N00000B!!!!!
(p. 184, section 14.4 - Recording in Sync, middle paragraph)"
..... . . . . . . . . .
