Is there any way in Live to temporarily disable an automation envelope?

Re: Disable Automation Envelopes?
After 13 years this has not been implemented yet.
It's hard to believe there is an insuperable tech obstacle for adding a switch button to turn on and off an automation..
What's happening guys?

Re: Disable Automation Envelopes?
Yes there is. Move the parameter that the envelope is automating and the automation for that parameter will be temporarily disabled. It will be disabled until you decide to press "The Re-Enable Automation Button"

What if you want to temporarily disable all automation for the project, not just one track?

Yeah - i'd love to be able to map a button such that if I push it I can temporarily override the existing automation (potentially many different parameters at the same time), and then when I release it everything goes back to following the pre-existing envelope...
Re: Disable Automation Envelopes?
Is there an update for this? In Cubase, even in Elements, I can just switch off the "Read" automation and all automation will be turned off.
Re: Disable Automation Envelopes?
Just curious, when you turn off the automation for all these parameters at once in these programs, what values are all these parameters then set to ? Is it the values at the cursor position? Or something else?
Re: Disable Automation Envelopes?
just my opinion, but:
i can see how the "manually adjust the desired automated parameter to temporarily disable automation envelopes" is a helpful feature (indeed essential) in a live performance situation, so it should not be taken away.
but it does feel pretty klunky to me in the production environment.
so... could it not also be a context menu option (right click / option-click)? ....pleeeeeease?
or better yet, give it 2 modes:
- in an exposed automation lane the context-menu command temporarily disables the automation envelope of only that lane
- revealing the context menu in the track itself the option temporarily disables ALL automation for the track.
