How do you get to work live and logic together. I start logic then live and everything seems to work but the sound from live doesn´t come out.
Thanks for the help, KLK

Open Logic first then start Live
open logic"s mixer ,select audio chanel(not audioinsts chanel)say chanel 3 then in the papameters box thats on the left hand side of the mixer click on the inst. it will open another box
go to instruments/other and check Mix Left.
now select chanel for and do the same and check Mix Left.
Now start your Sequencer and you will have sound

Logic 5 and Live

yeah- Logic is still a little spotty in its ReWire support, and once you get it working you will still be stuck with two mono channels of audio coming out of Live. One workaround is to set the output destination of these two channels to one of Logics mix busses and then pan the channels hard left and right. By doing this you can then use stereo insert effects (on the mix bus channel) on Live's output. However, if you need to use Aux sends on Live's output (for reverb, etc.) you will need to use the sends on the mono channels since Logic doesn't have aux sends on busses (yet). just remember that the aux sends will come before any effects that you have inserted on the mix bus channel, so the signal that you're sending to the reverb might sound quite different from the post-FX output of the mix bus.

Also, since Logic only supports the ReWire 1.0 spec you will have to do a little bit of work to get MIDI running between the programs. if you are using a Windows PC you will need to use a MIDI routing utility such as Hubis loopback device (doesn't work with Win NT/2000). the instructions for setting it up are included with the software, but essentially you create a Loopback object in Logic's environment and then select that object from the arrange window. If you are using a Mac with OMS you can just set up an IAC (inter-application) MIDI port from within your OMS setup. Then create a corresponding IAC object in the environment (it might be there already if you have been using logic with OMS) and choose it from the arrange window.

FYI all of this information applies to using Logic with Reason, Rebirth, or any other ReWire Slave also.
