Why The Rush For A Live 7 Version?
Hello,
Been reading a few posts on the impatience of people wanting Live 7 to come out and don't really understand it. I myself am perfectly happy with version 6 as is. In fact I hate it when there are constant upgrades, unless to fix serious problems but for me there are no serious issues. I wish more software companies would use Propellerheads approach which is make something rock solid to begin with and upgrade every two years. My only justification for this viewpoint is that I am a bit obsessive compulsive. I hate having to install/reinstall and have obsolete .dll files or what not clogging up and taking up space on my PC even if their effects are insignificant.
Maybe that's just me. I expect that some will respond with something like then don't upgrade when 7 comes out if I am so happy with 6. But you know what it is like. Once you buy into software you feel compelled to upgrade when a new version comes out.

-osc
-automation curves
-lfo controls
-peak controls
-update impulse for gods sake!
-midi editing features like flam drawing
-groove templates
-a scissor tool so we can stop clicking ctrl E
-make live devices into detachable windows
-let us type in midi control cc's in map mode so we can do it without a device plugged in.
thats just off the top of my head.
It was as if someone shook up a 6 foot can of blood soda and suddenly popped the top.

Folder tracks
+1 for better automation (plus multiple automation viewable at once)
I like the way on the adobe audtion 3 video you can adjust fades

I slipped into a daze, whilst I was there I heard the most startling music, it was at once familiar and alien, reassuring and unsettling.

It's simple for me, I want Live 7 because new music tools are fun to play with and learn. Live 6 works fine for me, but like most people I want more features or refined features already in there.
Mostly just cause I like playing with new music toys.
