About a week from now AMD quadcores will be available.
I was wondering if the upcoming Live 7 will have support for this when released,
or if it is too late too include this.

Live 6 already has multi-core support. It is not specific to any particular processor.

I just got a quad-core (q6600) pc for 400 quid a few days ago
I had it working with 80 ableton reverbs on high quality 98% CPU - GUI performance perfect! (in live 7 beta)
On my previous computer, if the CPU usage went above 50%, the GUI slowed down until it became really frustrating to use!
