I definitely agree that this should be implemented, especially seeing as though it kinda resembles a "drum rack" arrangement where multiple sounds can occupy one track space. Perhaps it can even be a simple plug-in like Impulse. That seems to have the necessary guts already in place.
Until then, I'm assuming that in this set we can incorporate other midi input, separate from the loop tracks, to layer in keyboard sounds?
That's pretty easy right? Just proper routing of midi or perhaps a separate channel?
Guitar, Bass, Keyboards, drum loops all in one set and performed real-time.....holy crap, the possibilities!
L7 - hands free looping 1 stomp pedal, no external apps
I started messing with a midi version but the problem there is routing the midi data, you have to arm each track. the really cool part about the audio version of this looper is motherbrain's brilliant method of routing audio.
consider this... try doing midi looping but with mouse clicks. once you can get a really simple workflow down, assign midi notes to the controls you need, program those notes into a midi clip. then send those notes out of Live and back in so they control Live. if you can find a workable solution, post it!
make sense? it's always weird looking at other peoples' Live creations.
