1) Ableton Live CPU Meter % (if it bounces around, please list the peak) 71%
2) Laptop/Desktop? Make/Model? MacBookPro
3) Operating System? OS X 10.5.6
4) Ableton Live version? 6.0.7
5) CPU Make, Model, and Speed? Intel Core2Duo T5250 1.5 GHz

I have to say these results aren't consistent for me for some reason. That is, at times I can play through all 16 bars without a hiccup and at others, I'd have drop outs galore.

1) Ableton Live CPU Meter % (if it bounces around, please list the peak) 53%
2) Laptop/Desktop? Make/Model? MacBookPro
3) Operating System? OS X 10.5.6
4) Ableton Live version? 6.0.7

6) Amount of Ram? 4GB 667mHz DDR2 SO-DIMM
7) Soundcard (and driver version if you know it)? Novation X-Station
8) Hard Disk Drive Speed (if you know)? 5400RPM
9) Number of playback tracks? 8

with this cpu, the results have been consistent.

hmmm, my MacBookPro seems to be slow compared to other posts, maybe Live 7 is more optimized than 6.

Update: CPU 49-54% with 8 tracks after 10.5.7 update on my MacBookPro !

when I look at results, there are two things, which seem to be wrong with this test and maybe with Live.

1. 4-core systems have better results than 8-core
2. about 20% CPU load on 4 or 8 cores with this easy test - some samples and 16 reverbs is definitely TOO MUCH!!!

1) Ableton Live CPU Meter 71%, solid throughout
2) Desktop Dual G5 2.5 Ghz
3) Operating System OSX 10.4.11
4) Ableton Live version 8.0.1
5) Dual G5 2.5 Ghz
6) 2.5 GB RAM
7) Onboard Soundcard
9) 8 tracks

Not too surprising, I just played some patches in (Cakewalk) Rapture softsynth which taxed Live beyond 100% CPU capacity for a *single* track.
