I have no metronome tone?

Post by serge_a_storms » Wed Dec 19, 2007 8:37 am

Any body having problems with the metronome?

Mine doesn't make a sound anymore. I've checked the settings and all seems fine.

Did you change the master cue volume (which controls the metronome volume)?

I've been using live since version 4.

It was the first thing I checked. It's really weird.

I have checked everything I can think of.

How bizarre! Are you now on L7? Nothing funny with the Midi remote/sync set-up?

I am on Live 7. I'm also on a pretty creaky machine but I would still expect the metronome tone to work.
P4 2.8 No core, Fujitsu/Siemens Laptop

I haven't checked the midi remote sync set up. I'm at work right now, so will have to check later when I'm home.

Any other suggestions welcome.

:D

Hello serge_a_storms,

Try to de- and reinstall Live 7.01 - this
should fix your problem.

Best,

sounds like you deleted the .wav files that are the metronome sound. I don't remember where they are but you should be able to replace them and forego a reinstall, I think.

YO! don't delete random files!!

they're in the Live app package..

maybe have a look inside there first before reinstalling,
although; if you're on Mac reinstalling is just drag 'n drop..

I cannot think of a situation how one deletes those files by accident..
you have to dig into the app package first..
