Merging live sets?

Post by Beats r us » Tue Jan 01, 2008 10:40 am

Ive created a few 7 minute live set projects.. I want to combine them to make a full 45 minute set. Is it possible to open and close different sets as to be able to merge them into one without breaking the soundstream?

Thanks.

Possible yes. Depends on what's in the sets to say how good it will work.

For example, dragging one full set into another doesn't take the send tracks.

Live is the only app which even comes close with this though.

I'd copy each set into one main set and tie up the loose ends manually.......sends/fx ...etc.

Along with BPM automation to blend.....or proper cross fading from song to song and that involves clip selection rather than scene.

A lot of ways to do this and it's a very personal preference.

if your songs aren't eating up your cpu, you can try to open 2 instances of live.

on a mac, you have to create a copy of live to do this.
