I recently read about that happening, or almost happening, to someone -- I think it was in Eric Clapton's bio -- but what I read was that it can cause a stroke if you quit suddenly after being a binge-drinking daily drinker for a long time. If you quit the right way [not that I know what that is], it's safer.

mind you, you have to be a heavy drinker for like all your life - so much so the cells in your body need the alcohol

but on that subject

detoxing from any drug can be hell - some more than others

I found giving up the weed easy, crack was a different matter.

The older I get the more i realise drugs are for kids.

Mostly cheap fireworks that get boring veeeery quickly.

Apart from the crack, which was really good.

yeah, that shit is LAMEO. waste of life, waste of time, waste of money, waste of perfectly good people. it is good for a couple of things, a simple analgesic, and fodder for your favorite rap tunes!

actually it seem like coke / crack heads would loose weight

but about think this

if you're using coke on a semi regular basis

unless you're homeless and poor and or anorexic 7 times out of 10 you don't loose weight if you're a coke head

notice the 7

you're on coke

you drink more than the next guy
you don't exercise
and you eat alot of junk food (mcDonalds, burger king, etc etc)

and remember a coke bender only last as long as your cash supply (unlike speed which last long after you ran out of money)
