Clips
Dude, if you want to mess your drums up but still want a fair amount of control over it, put some parts of drumloops in different clips, maybe even different lengths or different parts of the same loop (up to 1 beat), on one track and randomise the follow ups. Just let x clips play reverse / slow tempo down / speed up tempos / use envelopes for even more randomness...
If you already own Live... it will stay under $100
I hope this helps... It works for me!

You can use midi to trigger things instead of it being so random.boraxx wrote:supatrigga is cool and all, but its too damn random. what would u guys use to get them slow downs, reverses, and repeats in a more coherent way. please dont say beat repeat
an ive tried live cut, which i also find a bit random. am i thick?
Ableton’s engineers are hard
at work developing code that will allow our software to predict the future, but we don’t
anticipate having this available until at least the next major release.

$25. I just bought it a couple days ago. It's so good! It looks like it does everything that Effectrix does except for Tape Stop.Winston wrote:major malfuntion is worth checking out for sure. Now at version 2. It's only about fifteen dollars too.

oh, it went up! I'm glad I bought it when it was ten, and cool that the updates were free. Still great value at the current price though.donnydonny wrote:$25. I just bought it a couple days ago.
