RemoteSL Compact as a step sequencer

Hi,

Been trying (in vain!) to get the remotribe template working with my remote SL.....

Ive downloaded the two files....although which two files exactly I was a little unsure of!

Ive dumped the preset to the SL and ive got the preset folder and the app i the same directory.Live sees the remotribe inputs and theyre activated, but the template just has the message 'Romtrib is offline'.Ive checked the status in the remotrib app and it says 'error:hostcontrol:host driver not found.Is ad_rewire selected?'

Any kind soul out there help me with this? It looks absolutly fantastic,I just wanna get that sucka running!

I am still experimenting on Rewire.The non-compact version failed though it differed from the compact version.
in ver0.1
1. send and WRITE a preset
2. run Remotribe first then run Live
3. press "play" button on Remotribe preset
4. insert Instruments to MIDI track on Live
5. set
Input:"from Remotribe 1"
CH:1
Monitorring :IN
6..set Output port " from Remotribe 1" and CH 1
7. set Note on/off and pitch

can you hear strange sounds now?

Namihe, I am loving your MCEsl for win. Its a little buggy but it has changed my workflow for the better and made making music funner and easier, thanks. You are a friggin genius.

Is the step sequencer ever coming out for win?

I have already made for windows.but it had a problem of MIDI timing though I don't know the reason.
If you send me bug reports,it may fix bugs.

ok,I uploaded 0.2.please try it.
-no additonal preset(using template 39)
-you can use Live automap by remotribe

1.run Live
2.run Remotribe and select "ad_rewire" on the app screen

Ive downloaded v.0.2 but still not having any luck getting this working unfortunatly.

Ive followed the instructions step by step and it still doesnt seem to work....when using template 39 remote zero just says no clients connected,rewire transport connected.Im on a macbook C2D 2.0 Ghz 2G Ram OSX 10.4.11 by the way.

Please help me...for the love of god!

Is your SL recognized as "ReMOTE SL" on your macbook?
what version of remote are you using?

I uploaded Windows version.

Finally got the thing running....turns out that my remote zero was named in my Midi devices as 'Remote Zero SL' rather than 'Remote SL'...DOH!!

Thanks for the prompt help by the way.

Now I seem to be having a few issues though, the transport on the zero doesnt seem to work, but even weirder is when I programme in a pattern for example with straight 16ths on every step the timing is all over the place, sounds all swung and rejigged like a completly different pattern,very weird!

Also ive checked the swing is turned off and its set to 0 but the swing control doesnt seem to be editable.

Also the last step of either 16 (the bottom right one) seems to be broken, you cant turn it on.

BTW The Swing control does work, I was being dumb and turning the wrong encoder!The timings still really sloppy though unfortunatly....

But I really like to work with the M.C.E.S.L. in Logic 8 too !! ?
there are a lot of guys waiting, to get a good workflow with the SL and Logic !
I tryed it out, but getting confused. I hope You will get it !?
