Yup. It's creative!!!forge wrote:is that how they spell 'against' in Cornwall??Martyn wrote:againced
I'm totally with you all the way but I really think any form of moderation/censorship is for the worst. Which goes for this wonderful forum and life in general... But what to do, then. As I said earlier, this is what comes with freedom and freedom of speech. It's actually an interesting dilemma which we in Denmark have had some experience with recently. This is without a doubt the best Music forum I've ever been a member of, some of the best discussion, argument and humour here couldn't have happened with full blown moderators. I fucking hate spam in all it's forms though, I think something needs to be done about it here and was just suggesting some form of compromise.
@forge, thanks.

Actually maybe you shouldn't be a mod after all, you'd be going around correcting people's grammer and spelling and other similarly swotty vices.
Yeah i understand you. Mods sometimes seems to cut off discussions while they are at a break, and if the involved parts are worth anything they will solve it themself! Breaking it up just leaves some things out that maybe should have been taken.Martyn wrote:Well, no neither have I really, it just gets a little frustrating sometimes when you can see no other way to solve something like this other than going againced something you believe in quite strongly, namely that having no moderators makes for a better forum. I can't see why the Abes would have S/Ns as part of the forum user data; I know I can't call up user data besides the normal join date, etc. over on the NI forums...forge wrote:I think the problem is more to do with the way it is all set up - as in security settings to do with peoples accounts etc - I guess maybe people with mod rights can also see people's serials etc - that's a guess though, but I have a feeling it's not as simple as just letting us delete theadsMartyn wrote:Exactly! no I had a momentary lapse of reason - for some reason I thought you only had to log in to one to access both, but it's actually just that you stay logged in on the same computer in the product reg area until you log outewistrand wrote:I can't see why the Abes would have S/Ns as part of the forum user data; I know I can't call up user data besides the normal join date, etc. over on the NI forums...forge wrote:I think the problem is more to do with the way it is all set up - as in security settings to do with peoples accounts etc - I guess maybe people with mod rights can also see people's serials etc - that's a guess though, but I have a feeling it's not as simple as just letting us delete theadsMartyn wrote:Exactly! You forgot to mention that it's really none of his business and has absolutely no relevance to the topic.Martyn wrote:FYI 99.99999% of my time at work is actually spent flat out designing ads for fucking estate agents, it's part of my karma and that's the only way i can look at it,friend_kami wrote: maybe its because youre at WORK, were youre supposed to do your job rather then browsing forums on the net?
