How many can connect?

Post by fliquid » Thu Jun 10, 2004 9:37 am

How many people with laptops/regular pc's/mac pc's should be able to all connect with each other and do a live show?

With for instance if they would all use a UC-33?

well, theoretically you'd be able to have as many people connected as patrons in a venue... if everyone had a midi port, mixer, cables, etc...

(disregarding any problems with latency issues of course)

don't exactly know what it would sound like!.... could be quite cool actually...

if everyone was wireless midi, the whole world could sync up to a massive midi clock...

ok. i've gone too far. sorry.

IF live supported OSC this would be a lot easier too... imagine a laptop jam session over airport, with perfect sync!!

OSC would be beautiful for jams, i might just have to try my hand at making a max patch to let me spit sync out via OSC

Im on it!
World wide jam.
We would need a guy mixing it on a 25.000 track mixer. With 25.000 peple all having masive destortion and delay's going on , I can only imagin the outcome ;-)
