how do i only hear the vocals from a song?

Is there any way in ableton that i can remove the beat and bassline and instruments surrounding
the vocals and be left with only the words? much like an acapella..

other than panning and eq, you cant "remove" vocals from a mixed track.
depending on the frequencies of the music and vocals some songs are easier than others but it's like a cake, you cant take an already mixed and baked cake and ask to get the eggs out.
I guess if you were using some really intensive and esoteric chemistry it might be possible.
But turning lead into gold is possible as well, but it costs more to do it than you could get for the result soooooooooo.......

yeah thats what i figured would be the case.. what is the best way of putting
vocals from one song onto the beat of another (without creating a cluttered sound)

any ideas.. thanks

The following method works well - provided that you're working with an original
that has two identical sections, except that one has the vocals on top:

yeah that method worked ok..

the only thing is.. its just as hard to find instrumental versions of songs as it is to find
a cappella's..lol thus sort of defeating the purprose.. lol thanks tho useful method.
