These are the first sane words I've heard in a long time, I'd love to put my colonial Australian cannon fodder braun up to the challenge. There would be no nobler cause than the abolition of those imperial warlords, we might actually stand a chance of surviving a bit longer as a species.
Sadly, Herr Bush is secret-society-buddies with his probable successor, and Just as Tony Blair's "New Labour" is really "Old Torie", your new president will be the same man with different letters after his name on the telly. Yeah He might say he's anti-war, but that's easy to do when you're in opposition and the insane damage has already been done.
So how can anyone take it seriously anymore. The US, (and UK for that matter) appear to the world like the Romans towards the end of their empire, spread too thinly and unable to rule themselves let alone anyone else. They have shat on one too many weakened and underpriviledged people and the rest of the world is continuing to get very very sick of it.
They squabble over oil while peoples lives get completely destroyed by unbelievably excessive force, - think about how it looks to the rest of the world - a country they already beat over a decade ago and then sanctioned massively, so they had no chance of really defending themselves - a bit cowardly really
I work with an Iranian guy who fought in the Iran-Iraq war and literally watched half his platoon die - The US (Reagan - who they're all praising now) encouraged Saddam to attack, then propped up both sides. He was telling be how they in IRAN received satelite pictures of exact stations of Iraqi troops which just 'appeared from nowhere' as did the Iraqis - just like was happening in Nicuragua - which had one of the few decent societies left on Earth.
And even asside from all the Rambo crap, an obscene number of other people don't even have enough food to live on let alone strength to fight the superpower, purely to prop up the western decadent machine.
