Make sure when you leave pick up a souvenir homeless person. It's New York's #1 export.

Also there is a big music store called Alto Music a little upstate in Middletown NY if you are around that area. I'm sure there are music stores in the city but i don't know them.

Got my vote on those 2 spots as well. Bunker is dope.

I heard that the Halcyon guys are actually looking to take over the Galapagos space.

bedford is the most overrated mall in america. definately the lamest place to visit in ny. dont spend any money here please! it only encourages more lame shit. if i wasnt here in a $600 apt, i'd be long gone... its like living in a midwest suburb.

fun times can be had at Kenka (aka fight) on st. mark's btwn 2nd + 3rd ave... they have $1.50 pints of sapporo and kirin lager :)

it has a cotton candy machine outside and is right next to 'the sock man'.

if you insist on coming to bedford ave., please eat your lunch at Subway... no nieghborhood is more fitting for corporate enterprises than williamsburg, bk... maybe if more corporations move out here, it'd make the rent drop.

fuck williamsburg... go to texas instead.

Sub Swara :: 027 :: Friday March 7th
Featuring Ghislain Poirier
We're keeping things rolling strong in March with a cross border mashout featuring special guest, Ghislain Poirier. Jumping down from Montreal on the mighty Ninja Tune banner, Ghislain comes correct with big, dirty beats and some of the most out-of-control ragga riddims and deconstructed abstract hip hop to date.
Poirier has become renowned globally for his bass slammin' remixes that continue to further solidify his title as "king of the bounce". He has remixed tracks for UK grime/hip hop sensation Lady Sovereign (Def Jam), The Editors, Champion, Bassnectar, and Pierre Lapointe, which garnered much critical acclaim and significant attention from publications such as pitchforkmedia.com, RES Magzine and XLR8R, to name just a few. Flowing effortlessly from global hip hop, grime, Baile beats, Booty bass, crunk, Baltimore and much more GP brings hordes of Montrealers to his consistently sold out Bounce le Gros party month after month. "Blazin'", the first single off his Ninja Tune debut has been blowing up the club circuit and has already been remixed by the likes of ModeSelektor, DJ C, Starkey and The Bug.

And of course, the SS crew will be coming through with fresh dubs and more exclusive previews of the Sub Swara debut album, dropping this spring!
