These are free to use in other hosts. Not sure if this was mentioned before, but I just discovered them, so I thought I'd share.

Reaper should be available for OSX shortly. I have no doubt Mac users will get access to some of these goodies :)

The eq looks pretty nice, I'll give it a try just to check if it sounds good.

I like the protable aspect of reaper, it's a pretty nice app.

edit: whoa the reastream thing looks awesome, could be a great solution to avoid using my krappy m-audio transit out of my laptop. Maybe i'll be able to drive some midi bidule over a liveset via wifi :D

Nice one. The Reaper boys will probably give us a nice convolution reverb before Ableton. (no offence Abes  )

EDIT.. Just found new free convolution reverb for mac:

Seems a big flakey though.

I've been using Reaper to record from Live via ReaRoute - works a treat!

Are you syncing the midi as well (for syncing the transports)? If so, how?

Reaper actually has a convo verb, but it's never worked well for me so I don't use it. It's pretty bare-bones anyway; the regular reverb, ReaVerbate, didn't impress me either but at least it worked.

Out of the ReaFX package, I'd say the EQ and the Comp are the best. But with Live7's improved EQ and Comp, I wouldn't say the Reaper ones are any better. Haven't really compared them though...

Can anyone confirm that when you do the following, Live crashes / shows error:

Open reaxcomp, make some setting (i use 6 bands), save the presetfile, remove reaxcomp.
Now open reaxcomp again, load preset, Live reports unexpected error and the program has to be shut down.

ReaXcomp is a great multiband compressor which Live sadly lacks. Low cpu usage too. Now if only i could make presets work..

Popped up on KVR:

As for the plugs they're great and, for those that don't know/haven't spotted, ReaFIR (in Subtract Mode) is arguably one of the best freeware noise reduction tools available. Just 'take a print' and remove the 'freqs' you don't want with the mouse.....
