Opinions/recommendations, Sennheiser e838 Dynamic Mic

Post by mikemc » Thu Mar 06, 2008 2:12 pm

I'm looking for a new dynamic mic, and the Sennheiser e838 looks good. Any one using these? Any others you'd recommend at around $130 or lower?

I've got a few. Depends where you use them. I find I get more feedback from them than SM58s. Try not to use them too much but they're ok for home recording on a budget

don't know the this particular senny, but with a shure sm58 [if that is the same pricerange] you can NEVER go wrong, it's a must have in any good mic collection and still one of the best versatile budget mics around [also the sm57 which i like even more in character, even for voice]
