Drehbank-style controller ??

Hello,

I'm looking for a Drehbank-style controller.
only knobs, and a lot! (Drehbank provides 64knobs + bank)

any ideas?

I'm unsure why they stopped making these because a lot of people would like to get their hands on one, but I think your only other options are to get a couple BCR2000s or faderfoxes, not sure which model but I think they have one with a bunch of knobs.

I know. Those old fader only and knob only boxes were awesome. I wish someone would make them again but for a realistic price.

144 endless encoders and 144 buttons. The size of a snickers bar. I know what I'd want to travel with. different strokes for different folks. Can't fit 2 BCR's in my coat pocket.

Yeah, these options are all compromises on the original. You can only access 8 parameters at a time on the killamix and it is relatively expensive. Faderfoxes are expensive. BCRs are inexpensive but take up a lot or real estate if you are using several.

I'm sure over the next couple years we are going to see an explosion of controller options which will hopefully also be affordable, although there seems to be a lot of controllers coming out that have more options than you really want and are expensive. These all seem to be built around the concept of a traditional mixer and using banks to compensate for less actual hardware control. Boo that.

900$ for 18 knobs? You could buy a bcr, cut it into sections (yes, you can) and build a box for it.

I already own a BCR2000
I can buy a new one..
indeed, endless encoders + lEds etc etc ... it rocks
it is a little bit light, but, I bought it 3 years ago and it still lives

I like drebhank cause its form factor..a little bit smallest that the BCR..

I'm actually starting to think about modding the BCR.
And with modding I mean: Add more LED's.

I'm figuring out a way to know which knobs would be suitable for the sounds that are playing at the time.
The easiest solution I've come up with so far is making an LED light up near the knob that could be tweaked.
As time progresses, the functions of these knobs would be hard coded into your brain.
I still want some "real" knobs though. But not everything requires an endless encoder.
Volume = Real Knob
Some random parameter used in a single song = Endless Encoder
Kinda makes sense I guess.
