soundblaster Extigy

I am interested in buying a good soundcard for my laptop but they ar all really expensive. What do you think of the new soundblaster extigy, I now it is not 100% professional, but I want to know if it will do the job. I will love to hear other cheap alternatives, my budget is 200-300 euros aprox. Thanks everyone

I run a sb audigy ex, the extigy is basically the same card just external, I am satisfied so far with its performance.

But, I have not been successfull at getting the pre-listen function to work with it, I might be doing it wrong but... and I think this is much to important of a feature to miss out on.

Seems like you have a large enough budget for some other cards out there? Have you tried looking for used stuff on Ebay?
