Claude Young
Joey Beltram
Luke Slater
Derrick May
Dan Curtin

They were (in my mind) some of the mainstays of Techno

i hope to fuck you stayed in touch with him !!! ;)
metaphor is probably one of the most cohesive techno albums ever made imo, and the remix of catatonic by carl craig is one of my all time favourite tunes.

Lekebusch has made some damn sexy tracks though! One of my all time favs in the techno field was Surgeon's remix of Dave Clarke's The Storm. Good Stuff!

but, here is a history lesson for real techno!

Bah HumBug this is REAL Techno (91 was hardly the revolutionary epoch of the style IMHO) - but hey I am 40year old fart and actually remember mid 80's electro and late 80's house and many of the early Detroit tracks rather well.

Carl Craig - Televised Green Smoke - http://ie.youtube.com/watch?v=IwUQ5oKM-hE ......Enjoy :D

Or some old skool Aciiiiiiiid - Dj Pierre - Box Energy - http://ie.youtube.com/watch?v=argutHnQkF0

Ahhhh the Memories 8)

box acid FTW! i love the aphex remix as well.

one of my favourite acid 12's is K Alexi - All for lee'sah.

http://www.discogs.com/release/4681

Although for me the b-side wins again..vertigo...the combination of k alexi's refined acid and derrick's edits..genius..

this is my medusa from that 12 :

you cant beat a bit of honest techno.

.
those guys always get me thinking house

but yeas some great techno tracks in there.

juan atkins' "game one" gets me really really good.. maybe my favorite all time track.
i always think that derrick was funkiest, juan was more space / sci-fi and kevin was more housey (and he had the best hi-hat programming)

all amazing in their own way.

here's another acid house favourite : Mike Dunn : Magic Feet.

Eh, UR did some not so great stuff as well.
Ableton’s engineers are hard
at work developing code that will allow our software to predict the future, but we don’t
anticipate having this available until at least the next major release.

I was more into the industrial stuff that came before the techno explosion.

Signal Aout 42 - Carnaval

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2D2Zcc_bRfc

FLA - No Limit

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HKIDRC0fj0

This is actually the first techno record I was exposed too.

Konzept - Human Transmission

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KPVB6hkCmw

Finally, another track from techo's history.

3 Phase feat. Dr.Motte - Der Klang der Familie (1992)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tw10ypw5 ... re=related

One of my fav's of all time.

Rave Signal 3

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rxohi8iU ... re=related

Can't forget this gem!

Substance Abuse

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TAjaQUp7 ... re=related

I seem to have heart on for filters...
