MBP upgrade take or walk?

Post by Pasha » Fri Apr 04, 2008 1:47 pm

I've got a REV2 MacBook I bought on Nov 06 (C2D 2.0GHz 2GB RAM - Tiger 10.4.11 - no upgrades since combo) that's working fine with Live 7 suite boxed even if to host the 38Gb content I have an external FW Drive.
I really would like to have everything on my internal drive and I was also looking to the new MB/MPB Penryin (until my MB has still a fair 2nd hand market price). Despite the internal sound card, do you think those MBP are worth the $$$? Otherwise I could change my drive to a 7200 RPM one....and remain with my current MB!

Tough call. Depends how much you want the bigger screen I'd say. If you don't care, I'd maybe suggest sticking with what you know works. I recently put a 320 gb hard drive in my 2.16 macbook pro and am loving it. I laso seem to be having less problems than people with the newer ones. I don't have nay problems actually. And I had a 2.0 ghz macbook before and I didn't really notice the speed difference.

You can get a 320 gb hard drive for just over 200 dollars. It's a pretty good investment.
