what is the best External Audio Editor to use with live ?

Well, the open source Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net) is a decent tool, especially for being free. I used it for a while and was able to basically do most things I wanted.
I personally use Adobe Soundbooth now though, but a major reason why was because I was already getting the CS3 Master Suite for work and what not. Soundbooth is pretty slick though, I have to admit.

Sound Forge is an excellent value with the included CD and Noise Reduction software. Also, some decent mastering plug-ins.
However, I would like to edit a track while listening to the rest of the tracks in combination. I have not figured out how to do this within Sound Forge. (I imagine that the other audio editors have this same limitation in conjunction with Live).
I still think one of Live's deficiencies is lack of proper audio editing within the program (and why I often end up in Cubase 4 after starting a project in Live).
