Mackie Control Pro and LIVE

I am curious if this is all that its cracked up to be? Does it come with a preset template to integrate with LIVE? Is it easy to setup? I like the idea with the faders and lcd screens is it a step up from the novation remote sl stuff?

Does the jog dial and arrows keys thumb thru your clips?

The Mackie control universal is the best controller you can buy! Nothing like novation's stuff. Everything is already configured 4 all your daw programs. You control all the parameters and also is your master controller.

yeah i was considering getting one of these, or the mc mix,

The MCU is great and yes you can use it to move through clips. Setup? Plug it in, set it up to control in the Live prefs. Done.

Way better than Novation and don't forget the motorized faders.

What about controlling vsts from ableton? something like massive,absynth and predator

yeah does it work with vst's well, id be using alot.. as well as the ableton instruments and effects..
