Seriously, your forum is a fucking joke. Maybe you can pull someone off the Live 8 upgrade to deal with this? Does it really have to be out this fall?

At the very least acknowledge the problem. "hey guys and girls, we are really sorry about the random porn content that now pops up in regular threads, we are going to try to fix it"

Christ man, my mother was sitting here when I scrolled through one of these threads. Could have been someones kids sitting there, or someone in a public place.

I don't seem to run across shit like this on any other forum I frequent. Why is that?

And you know what's really ironic? I sent a letter to ableton public relations about this.

I've had to draft 3 copies of the letter, the first of which definitely contained some angry expletives, the second one did not, it contained the word "porn", but it still bounced back to me, both of them with the error message "--> Mail delivery declined due to offensive or not allowed words."

That's really thoughtful of you to protect yourselves so thoroughly like that.

Yeah, I did a little bit. It's all good though. I was being hyper sensitive a little.

My mom didn't even see it (the porn), it wouldn't have been the end of the world if she did by any means. But it's just getting old ya know?

Straw that broke the camels back and all. Got me pissed off. I'll feel beter after I finish this shrimp salad sandwich and smoke a clove.

yeah defiantly man. i don't think its right for the younger live uses who dont even know what that stuff is. You should just make your letter professional sounding man. Cut all the curse words, don't make it sound like a rant and use the term "sexually explicit content" or "adult viewing material" instead of the word porn. u feel me brother?

i think the ableton forum is a very pleasent place to be. way better than a moderated forum where posts has to be unlocked... that is always the dead of a forum.

the porn issues are annoying, but they were deleted after a short time... so... they are just some stupid porn pictures.... nothing special....

the forum is good like it is, now!

I feel you. Too late though. I already sent the angry rant, sans cuss words and sans "porn" (I think inclusion fo the word "sexual" "adult" or explicit" would bounce back as well) but still very ranty. Along with this thread and a much more ranty PM to Alex.

Your right though. The entire time my subconscious was screaming out to me "be courteous and professional, people do not listen otherwise" but the angry asshole in me prevailed.

My letters were a little, base, but not completely over the edge. Hopefully they'll be able to understand where I'm coming from.

yeah man. just learn to take a deep breath and become aware you are pissed. then when u are aware that you are pissed the feeling will dissipate. and that goes for any time u get pissed or angry or upset in life not just about porn threads

and like the one dude said they do get it off pretty quick and i don't rly see it that often. and i mean that whats makes this forum so cool is the freedom here. so wright a new letter coming from the new you.
