Oh noes, I'm a Mac fanboy

Post by timothyallan » Tue Jul 01, 2008 4:26 am

My Macbook Pro is in the shop for the next few days because of a dead motherboard. Being forced to use windows again for audio work has made me realize how bad the OS errors of my past windows ways was.

Oh how the mighty have fallen and become Mac fanboys.

So you're the guy on the news with a dead motherboard on a Macbook Pro during the "giant squid attacks and other statistical impossibilities" segment. That's pretty cool.

Thanks Pants,

I did have that with my old Dell. It was awesome when the motherboard blew on that one as well. Indian dude came into my work and swapped it right out the next day.

Then I got some bluescreens, couldn't hotswap usb midi devices without rebooting my DAW and kept having to run virus software if I wanted to surf the net.

It was pretty messed up. Good thing I had the help of my pet bottlenose dolphins to squirt anti-squid bat spray into the eyes of the giant squid. Farkin Australia.

what the hell are you doing to these motherboards?

it does sound kinda funny thinking about it though - declaring your fanboy status because the thing broke! I'm sure they put some kind of subliminal messaging in the startup chime or something

> spec

it's all about the specs. after all, that's why you're using ABLETON LIVE isn't it? because the specs are so good?

The hardware is a bit to be desired in some circumstances, but it's the software that I am sold on.
