In the first half, can you tell which is which?

I managed to correctly identify the Roland (warmer bottom end, just a bit fatter generally) but couldn't really tell the Acidlab and ABL2 apart. All very close really. Glad I got the Roland right though!

Incidentally I use ABL2!

Thanks, you save me time/money to ever bother about Acidlab, It might be good but not for me, the sound didnt appeal to me. Now understand why people rave about Bassline. I dont care how much "like 303" it sounds, it simpy sounds good ( even excellent), to me that is all that counts.

Sounded pretty similar to me, really. Acid Lab had some weird volume dips/envelope glitches at times, though? Like the attack was too soft.

Keep in mind that ABL is built with the idea that not every unit sounds the same.
So you can change parameters for VCA Clicks, Bass Boost, Filter Type, OverSampling,...

It was really only after going back and listening again that I could pick out a slightly dirtier (analogish) quality to the real 303's. I'm sure a bit of mild saturator over ABL could make it almost identical.

Over a youtube stream?
Ableton’s engineers are hard
at work developing code that will allow our software to predict the future, but we don’t
anticipate having this available until at least the next major release.
