Has drum rack caught up with battery?

Post by darkcatt » Mon Aug 11, 2008 5:22 pm

I was considering making the switch but I trully love Battery's libraries. How ever it doesn't supply drum names inte the drum map so it really can slow me down.

Has Drum Rack caught up with Battery yet?

I have Battery 2 and 3, and now I just use the sounds from battery in the drum racks. No need to open Battery anymore.

I just use is as a tone generator.

It is good for a tone generator, but if you just open the sounds individually in drum racks you can add whatever effects you want to each individual drum sound.

i think the only think drumracks is missing is the ability to conveniently link pads together for layering. Like how the mpc's have "simluti". Otherwise, if u compare pros&cons...battery is still on top. but One more effective update and abes can takeover the drum game.

just press the little I-O button on the left side of the drum rack -> this will show the incoming note of each cell. for cells to get triggered by the same note, change their 'incoming notes' to the same value.

Are there any drum libraries as versatile as battery that don't cost 200 euros like battery does?
