Wow!
......

In the end, for someone like b0unce the dropping of the Atomic Bombs might as well have occured yesterday. He makes no distinction between then and now. Refuses to put anything into context. FDR and Truman become Bush. He is not alone. He's in good company. Scores of anti-Americans and Revisionist Neo-Liberals are lined up next to him.
I edited this for brevity, and like i said I just don't agree that two bombs was necessary, the signs were there that they were going to surrender etc. Their army was in shambles, but I get your point.

Though I cut out the part that bothers me. It's easy for you to see the hypocrisy of bringing up 50 year old atrocities when b0unce does it (whether the bombs stopped the war or not, WWII and it's bombing of civilians on all sides was an atrocity), when it comes to US wrongs, but you used Stalin as an example as to why Russia was a country with blood on their hands when discussing Georgia. If that is safe to use, ( a political system that Russia has moved away from ), what exactly would be wrong with bringing up the american indian genocide in regards to Iraq? Let's be honest here, Spain and the spanish government they left behind didn't wipe out half as many of the native population as the good old US of A did.
Plus all you have to do to cringe at US foreign policy is look at all the total and complete bullshit we've pulled in South America. There's barely a maneuver by the CIA or military we've made south of the border that wasn't just ugly and self serving.

We all have blood on our hands, if given a chance. My opinion is Russia, USA, India, China, the EU.... all of them will create problems, all have too much consolidated power. Has nothing to do with the 'politics' of a country, it's the consolidation of power IMO.

Japan had at least TWO facilities trying to make a bomb

I'm watching a show on the History channel as I type this on this very topic.

they got uranium from the Germans, while it was on its way to Japan on a sub Hitler was defeated and the US blew up the factory. there was a second factory in Korea where they made a bomb, which they tested six days after Hiroshima.

theres a huge difference between working on a bomb and having a working bomb. Japan didnt have a team anywhere near the calibre of the Manhattan Project. I dont think it would have been a factor in the decision to drop any of the A bombs.

Werent the US more worried about the Nazis finding the Ark of the Covenant anyway? :)

yeah, attracting talent. the german scientists wanted to live in the US more than Germany or Japan. we also had the money and resources. one part of the docu said there were 4 ways to try to enrich uranium, Japan picked one, the US tried all 4 because they could afford to, look who won that race. both countries started research around the same time (1941.)

you don't know that, pure opinion and speculation.

it's not a counter argument. I was just sitting there trying to get Live to slave to the MPC and this documentary comes on. so, I masturbated to some porn, thought about the forum and remembered this thread. syncho-fucking-nicity I tell ya.

as the story goes there were plans to use the plutonium as a dirty bomb. the had the shit, it's war, I'd totally want to dump it on US soil. the documentary at that point segued into the story of the paper balloons the Japanese were able to land on US soil from their soil. you guys will LOVE this, one angle was to put it into a sub and let the uranium loose in San Francisco Bay.

someone would have nuke ability sooner or later, the US got it first, they were the first to answer the ultimate shitty international diplomacy decision.

it's war... "by any means necessary."

oh, let's talk about the Japanese internment camps in the US, or blacks in the US military or any other bit of rubbish a troll wants to rant about.

b0unce - best troll EVER... by the dawn's early light.

EVA!!!!

yeah, but those Nazis can't shoot for shit, they couldn't hit a trainload of Jews with a mortar at 10 feet, let alone some guy who 'never loses his hat'.
