Typical drum variations

Post by Grappadura » Fri Sep 05, 2008 3:16 pm

Plz help me out I´m looking for typical follow-up patterns, like the presets clips in live, but I´m just looking for some basic rules. Like what is a typical variation of a 4/4 beat with hats on offbeat and snare on every second kick?

Do you think you could elaborate? Not to be an ass, but "typical" is relative to the genre and then the truth is that their is no set rule for what will follow.

Do you want midi patterns????

groovemonkee.com has much to choose from and should help you find what you're looking for, by using it as an example.

Thanks for the groovemonkey tip, downloaded their free stuff. The genre would be electro-house 120 bpm. I´m sure there are millions of variations but I´m looking for typical stuff that is easy to remember.
