Ableton warping bpm question

Post by mesaboogiewes » Fri Sep 26, 2008 9:11 pm

So I'm learning to DJ in Ableton.

My question is this:

I'm having no problem warping the songs to the correct bpm, however - the suggested bpm that able "thinks" the song is at is approx half of what it actually is.

For instance, most drums and bass tracks are in the 150-190 range, or somewhere close about - but all my dnb track register at like 75-90. If I put the bpm at 170 it just plays the song ridiculously fast.

I doesn't really hurt anything, but it bothers my OCD - can I change this?

Thanks!

Yes, you can. below the tempo box there are a pair of buttons for halve or double the tempo, press this one and you are done: *2
