And I'm an undecided borderline agnostic/athiest!
Respectful of the culture of the wealthiest 1% sounds to me.

The two-tiered socioeconomic system here is a bit of a shock. I didn't expect such a huge gulf between rich and poor.
I really don't like the way the TCNs (third-country nationals) have to be subservient just for their job security. And the way I've seen some Westerners treat them in public makes my blood boil. Here in Al Ain it doesn't seem as bad as in Abu Dhabi.
I'm glad to see that steps are being taken against the labor bosses (usually TCNs themselves) who abuse their positions. There's a long way to go, though.

Hambone, I really like your elegant way to reply to provocative postings.
Best Regards

Spent the day in Dubai yesterday.
Fun place! Lots to see and do.
The architecture is amazing. The Burj Dubai is now over 1km tall and will be 1.2km tall when finished, making it 40% taller than the currently tallest building in the world. It looks like a painting from a 1930s science fiction magazine.

I hear Abu Dubai is great, if you're avoiding extradition, which is pretty much why Haliburton/KBR moved their base of operations there - nothing quite like avoiding prosecution by the citizens of the country you have military contracts with by moving to another country almost 7,000 miles away

if iam not misstaken... that is pretty much what america stands for... everything is 100% genuine artificial. they learn that shit quickly. don't they?
in other words it's just jealousy that america is burned out to proceed with 'the dream' any further. and still lot's of europeans look up to that... rubish, now that is pathetic.
