There's one on every board - he should probably get back to making the next #1 hit on his protools rig in his soundproofed studio adorned with Neumann mics and scantily clad hookers...

Was looking for samples and found this thread, so I'm bumping it, since there's a ton of good stuff in here.

now, a comadore 64 "SID Chip" is only 8bit, so wheres the quality in that, ok you can spend time on the composition but 8 bit sound is still 8 bit sound...

some of the dance music currently available kicks ass, the best it's EVER BEEN!!

Anyway, we were talking about sample quality not bloody oldschool computers

but hey, if you wish to use samples recorded when the number 75 bus drove past then carry on...

Not to diss but if anyone thinks they can get same 8 bit clock noise thick results from a vst or Lives redux as a SID, commodore or 12 bit SP1200 their crazy. Not the same sound in the least. Totally not the same sound. So yah, I rather catch your old 75 bus instead of using cheep redux pretending to get same sound result your kidding yourself.

Also is a set of samples from Tim Exile - he was also giving away samples on his site

hey thanks for that. the hollow sun samples sound great, time exile stuff has a bad basic frequency shape.
