OT Halloween Music

Post by dhilsabeck » Sun Oct 19, 2008 2:21 am

Hey All,
I'm putting together a little halloween set. It will include all genres so anything halloween related goes. This can also, of course, include scary music, dark music or whatever involving monsters or robots or aliens. Thanks in advance.

I'll start:
Thriller-MJ
The Way it is: Prodigy
Monster Mash
Frankenstein-Edgar Winter
Purple People Eater
Earth People-Dr.Octagon
Aliens-Dr. Octagon
Turbulence-Deltron
Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots-Flaming Lips
Mushroom Festival in Hell-Ween
Mourning Glory-ween
Spinal Menengitis-Ween
Batdance-Prince
Dracula-MMW
More Human than Human-White Zombie
Tales from the Crypt Theme-Danny Elfman

etc

'A is to B as B is to C' and 'The Color of Fire' by Boards of Canada. Put it at the end of the set because it's likely to traumatize the childrens.

There is so much good, dark music, but this one is an essential element:

'This Is Halloween'
~from The Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack, also by Danny Elfman. Guaranteed to put smiles on peoples faces. "Everyone hail to the pumpkin king!"

A lot of their stuff is relaxing. But if you're feel calm during these tracks, you've got issues. :P

back in the day, I was doing homework and door candy duty, had Jesus and Mary Chain 'Barbed Wire Kisses' playing loud as fuck. it went over very well. (not your typical JAMC album.)
