Looking for Dance trackmaking tutorials
Im getting pretty good with trial & error but am looking for free online tutorials & videos about dance trackmakng. Sort of thinks like mixing basslines chords & notes together in different ways.
If anyone has any links then please share. Please no long winded stuff...
Thanks.

Thanks for the link this subtractive sequencing idea is interesting and il read up on it but am more looking of ways chords & notes & basslines are created and not "arranged".nebulae wrote:http://tarekith.com/assets/arranging.html
also, check youtube with "how to produce dance music"

It's all been done. There's only so many permutations and combinations of regurgitated dance elements.

Neb, I've read and own em both. I find "the dance music manual" to be very cheesy. With a lot of misinformation.

i really like the tutorials from Future Music (magazine),
there`s a Bunch of Videos with the Title:
"in the studio with...."
Artists like:
Ian Carey,
Benga,
Aquasky,
D.Ramirez,
Matti Schwartz,
Stonebridge,
Benny Benassi,
Freemasons,
and my favorite: Steve Angello.
and it really is what it pretends, you are in the studio - look over the shoulder of each one, and a guy from FM is interviewing from time to time.
very good explanations of different ways of working, mostly done in logic, one is Cubase, i don`t remember wich.
see if you can find something
