I'd say zebra is one of the few worth buying in my opinion.

I also am I huge fan of fabfilter timeless if you want a good filter delay it's fantastic.

Depends what you 're looking for

Modern VA Analog with extra features
Zebra 2, NI Massive, SYlenth

Virtual VAs recreating ancient analog synths (but with few added bells and whistles, so no wavetables, extra filters or oscillators or hybrid features etc)
Arturia's softsynth range (i.e. Minimoog, Prophet V, Jupiter 8, CS80 etc) or G-Force Minimonsta etc.

FM Synths
NI FM8, Image Line Sytrus or Ableton's own Operator device.

Atmospheres, pads, wavetable synths etc
Spectrasonics Atmosphere or Omnisphere
Korg Legacy Digital (M1 and Wavestation)
NI Absynth
Waldorf Edition (has a virtual PPG 2.2) older but goody.

Modular synths/fx/etc/build your own modules etc

But seriously.... Ben from Camel Audio, has invested four years on coding Alchemy.....

!!!!

Its going to be an INSANE, additive synth, with spectral, granular, and VA engines....

Check out the sound demos. Nothing like it, in Reaktor, nothing like it, outside of Max.
