weird Ableton Wav Processing -- pics inside
weird Ableton Wav Processing -- pics inside
hi everyone,
tried to figure this out myself but the last 24hrs has me scratching my head. i was given stems to a song that was done in protools i believe. i got sent the wavs (16bit, 44.1) and after loading them up in ableton noticed something very odd.
ableton is showing the waves as severly distorted. i know some of these wavs are mono files and it looks like ableton is trying to sum it together into a stereo file? i've tried putting the utility plug on the channel with a few settings but no such luck.
Sonar loads it up fine, here are the pics. any idea?
edit: don't mind the gain boost on the ableton pic, even bringing the gain down by 40db doesn't do anything.

It might not be the case but I've worked on similar Protools exports, as Mac aiff's, come out weird when imported in various hosts - it was a while ago but sure it was something along the lines of the file 'header' - type of Endian iirc.ARDJ wrote:hi everyone,

It was a while ago - so the above may be bollocks

LOL... that's a friend of mine! A crew I work with help throw a huge THX1138-inspired rager to celebrate the anniversary of a local event promoter's outfit and Scott did a really amazing installation.elementv wrote:Maybe it will create Bruce Lee sounds?
