The curriculum of the workshop is designed to help the student think through every aspect of the music production/beat making life-cycle, from a single drum hit to digital distribution. Each session is led by a speaker, who will share their unique view on that topic.
Beginning with a historical overview of electronic music, the class will include a comprehensive workshop, beat-making demonstration, guest ?lecturers from the skilled producers, and hands on experience on how to create your own music using Ableton 9.
The 6 day workshop covers production, mixing and mastering. The days will be divided into three portions presentation, workshop and assignments. On the 4th day, students will work on their compositions and gather feedback from each other, and will be asked to evaluate their peers performances. Because each student hears differently, evaluating performance will teach students to broaden their ears and listen in new ways. All constructive criticism, of course!
