Melbourne Australia - Ableton User Group.

Post by Winterpark » Wed Jan 29, 2014 6:00 am

Just a heads-up for all the Melbourne producers out there for Wednesday Feb 19th.

The Ableton User Group Melbourne is excited to announce a partnership with the Digital Learning Hub in the Melbourne Arts Centre.

We will be taking over the performance space for a regular Ableton Session. The structure of the night will be a bit more formal - but there will still be loads of opportunity to get up and show off your projects and tunes. We will kick off with a beginners session and then move into more advanced concepts over the evening.

Run Down of the evening:

7:00 - 7:45 Racks For Beginners (Tom Spencer, Enable Music School)
7:45 - 8:30 Projects & Tunes from the group
8:30 - 9:10 Winterpark (Matt Ridgway) will take everyone through the process of developing his next studio album using Ableton Live.
9:10 - 10:00 Projects & Tunes from the group

If you are eager to show off something or take everyone through a project we would love you to get involved. The way we will work it is if you are keen - you need to come down and let us know from the start of the night (around 7PM).

It will be a first come first served arrangement, and we will preference people who have not presented at the group before, to change things up.

It may be worth signing up at the Facebook event page.

If you have never been to the Digital Learning Hub it is tucked behind the arts centre building with the spiral on it (not in that building). It is easy to get to from Flinders St station.

Walk in between the Arts Centre building and the National Gallery building (outside). Continue past curve Bar to the back of the building. You will see a foot bridge going over to the Ballet Building - follow that, come through the doors and first right is the Digital Learning Hub.
