London Live User Group

Post by Screen » Fri Dec 23, 2005 11:36 am

Paris are organising one & so are Copenhagen and so is NYC, as are a few other cities.

Is there any interest in having a London Live Users Group??

I guess its down to individuals in this forum willing to get involved & organised.

I know that Onyxashanti tried to set up an informal meet last year, was there much interest/attendance??

Looks like its getting global, the geeks are getting together ;-)

Great Idea

I'd definitely be up for that.

I'd definitely be up for meeting a few more Live peeps in London. Let me know when and where and I'll be there!

yeah , i have tryed to organise a laptop jam in a club but basicly at the time there was not enough peoples who attended ,the music was crap so i lost the spot .

i might be able to arrange a place in a bar for a get together & have a small jamm but i have to make sure peoples will spend on the bar .
& obviously i can only arrange the spot for a monday or tuesday .

Me, too! I went to the Ableton Camp and talked about setting up something in the UK. I've recently been chatting to Dave from Ableton about it, and am working on it now.

Due to commitments, I can't plan anything before March, but if anyone wants to do something sooner than that, have at it. I'll do whatever I can to help.

Thats great news Hambone!
Maybe a good place to start would be to see how many ppl would be ineterested in joining/attending, I make that seven so far, not sure how many to count Paris Usergroup as ;-)

I'll start speading the word..

I would love to come and do something like this, even if it was just going for a drink, talking technique and sharing ideas.
PM if this goes ahead.
Cheers

Count me in!

I'm studying there till June 2006. While I'm away at the moment on holiday, I will be back at the end of Jan until I graduate. So who's keen?

Sounds great hambone, but if you are going to set something up in the UK how about making it not totally London based. Be great to see something in some other locations (e.g. Manchester, Bristol) or if maybe change the location of meetings so as to reach a wider cross section?

I agree - a central location that makes transporation the easiest for the most is a good idea. I would think that the highest concentration would be in London, though. Maybe there should be a north and a south session.

I'm so busy with work now, and will be until the middle of February. If anyone wants to set something up before then, feel free. I'll help as much as I can.
