Word, I used to party in Regina all the time!

I was born n' raised in Winnipeg, but I used to go to the parties in Regina around '98-'99. I remember World of Trout, Connect (multiple times!), New Years' eve 98/99 in that big damn arena where the sound blasted the dust off the rafters and everybody got covered in crap! I remember Get Happy, Shine, and having a blast at the U of R student's club there...

Chillin on Sundays in Victoria Park was wicked too.

I also remember Checkers, albeit less fondly.

How many dudes are using Ableton Live out there?!?!

Winnipeg's keepin it real with Ableton Live, with dudes like Aural Power Toys, -9, Ali Khan (formerly Subculture) and others.

Wow. I checked out your site, there's a fairly large roster of artists there! Is Luis still producing?

What about Precursor Productions? Is Andrew still promoting shows?

But yeah, Winnipeg's fantastic. I left there in 2000, I still wish I was there to this day. Man, I miss that town.

Yes!! He is also one of the owners of Balanced and we are just about to release his newest album "Solidaze_ Pleasure From Precision".

Precursor is still around and I saw Andrew on New Years at a show we were both promoting.

What made you leave Winnipeg?

Good to hear that some of the 'ole schoolers are still keepin it real there!

I left Winnipeg for the (non-music) career thing. I move around alot with the job unfortunately, but I decided back in 2000 that the "day job" was more important than the music...

Anyways, you and any other Ableton Live users should corner Andrew (it's not easy I know - he's a big dude) and get him to start teaching / using Ableton Live!

;)

Sorry for the thread necromancy. I'm from Winnipeg as well. Figured I might as well sign up for this forum since I've been using Ableton to play live shows for a couple years now!
