"Art of the Mash Up"
The second installment of Seattle's monthly Ableton Live User Group is going to focus on using the program to create mash-up edits. Joining us will be KRNL.PANIC, whose latest mix, "No Crease Walk", features a dense blend of custom edits created in Ableton Live. We're going to lace some acapella's, make some custom blends and discuss the impact on the modern art of djing.
Check KRNL.PANIC on the dancefloor this Saturday (May 6th) at the Baltic Room in Seattle when he opens for DJ Assault!

Earplug Magazine ( http://beta.earplug.cc/ )
"Whatever "KRNL PANIC" is supposed to mean, the artist's "No Crease
Walk" mix is full of enough nervous nuggets to make it seem at least
suggestively metaphorical. Spank Rock slaps Man Parrish, Twista
possesses Morgan Geist, and Kano and Plasticman usher you out of the
most disorienting party-jam pileup you've ever heard"
Blentwell ( http://www.blentwell.com/ )
"Krnl Panic is one of the hidden gems in Pac Norwest's crown of DJ
talents. Repping for the Uniting Souls / Bashment / Zion's Gate crews
this dude knows how to blend up some tracks. And holy shit; this mix
is Plantains (more raw than Bananas) mainly on the Baltimore /Brazil
/Diplo /Money Studies tip but the mix is just insane. Layers upon
layers of tracks fill in over other cuts. Kinda hard to follow what is
playing when but it is so hot you do not care!"
