Unfortunately it hasen't happened in awhile. The venue I used to have it at has since shut down. We need a new venue! Anyone have any ideas?

I still think Backspace seems a more than fitting venue for such a thing....yeah?

Re: Group in Portland Oregon?
Hi,
I would like to see if I could join this up, and I am looking for some private lessons, to help me get this going ... so far it has not been easy, and the one person that helped (twice) ... was not good enough ... he went too fast and was not a good show and tell and do type of person. I really think that he was too young to realize/understand what was being asked.
1. I'm not a musician per se. Drop the pretense first of all. I'm looking for "anti-music" folks only! Think early day synths ... and experiments.
2. Interested in creating sounds and mixing things. Having a hard time getting Abelton to record and then be able to play with it and add to it. And then rinse and repeat.
4. Have a nice sound card (M-Audio 3030L) and a small mixer. Oxygen 61 Midi board. Jupiter 8V software. Miroslav Philharmonic. Knowing those both of those and helping me get through them to create/understand things, would be a treat ... Let's just say that I want to create Klaus Schulze and Tangerine Dream early stuff ... not interested in songs or "concepts" in music.
I do not want half baked expert musicians that only know how to throw ten samples together and how good their ability to start and stop samples really is! ... Only people that are really into music/sound and love the wonder of the experiment ...
Anything else is a plus ...

AS the Holy Chapala once said ... none of the hits, none of the time is much healthier for your artistic hopes!
