Master volume hugely increases when dropping a rack

Post by misteron » Mon Nov 10, 2008 7:32 pm

Hi all,

Anyone having this problem?
...When dropping a rack onto one of my tracks Live's master volume goes very very high for a few seconds.

Very luckily I was working from headphones so my speakers survived.
I recreated this several time with the same rack (a multiband splitter)
Same problem with any multiband splitters.
Also Multiband Distortion and Vocal Remover from Monosyllabic.
I literally can't find the links for those ATM. Sorry bout that.

Some other racks don't cause this prblem.

Mutiband Splitter v2.1 causes the longest volume increase.

Saving, closing, and reoeping the session didn't help.

Multiband Distortion
Vocal Remover

Unfortunately I can't find a link for the most important one - Mutiband Splitter v2.1 But if you tell me a suitable email address I can mail in the .adg

Here is a
4 band feq divider which was one of the other problem racks, although like some others it only caused a very short jump.

It seems to be directly proportional to CPU usage as the Mutiband Splitter v2.1 is significantly more resource hungry (10 - 20% mor CPU usage than other problem racks), and causes a much longer volume jump.
