Routing query between Access Virus B/M-Audio Axiom61/Live 7

Hi all, Not sure if this is an Ableton query or a M-Audio query, so have posted on both boards.

OK, I've set up my Axiom 61 keyboard to control Live 7 via USB. I have my Virus synth connected to the in/out MIDI ports of the Axiom. I can record notes into Live and hear my synth playing, but it won't play back after recording. The notes are being triggered in Ableton, as I can see MIDI message activity.

In Preferences/MIDI Sync (in Ableton), I have the 'USB Axiom 61 In1' active - 'USB Axiom 61 In2 is off'. The switched on output is 'USB Axiom 61 Out' (MS GS Wavetable Synth is off).

I guess what I need to know is how to get the Axiom to re-route just the incoming Virus MIDI data from the USB cable back out of the MIDI port, into the Synth.

hi babylon303,

make sure that the 'Midi Out from USB' function in your Axiom is enabled.
press 'data 2' and 'data 3' together to enable/disable this function. please refer to the Axiom´s user manual, chapter 4.1 for further details.
