Can i suggest that you change your warp mode setting on all tracks to something other than complex as this will rule out one possibility. Then i promise I will stop going on about it:)

I had a similar problem when i was using a multimic kit of sessions drums, so ableton support kindly pointed out that i was running at 96khz and that coupled with
a bunch of effects and other midi tracks running, a few drops and click were expected.

In Preferences>Audio tab>Sampling Rate, Try a setting like 44.1khz.
Sometimes this is set by your usb interface.

i'm just about to try a different warp mode on my tracks, although NO settings are acceptable for DJ'ing full tracks except complex, that is if u don't want the tracks to re-pitch. my sample rate is already at 44.1, never change it and it isn't reset by any of my hardware.

changing all clips to tones, beat or texture in my multitrack channels helps a bit, thank you much. still a little groggy 4 sure, but sacrificing complex mode on full tracks brought in from my library is below functional quality. (although, if it's clicking and popping, how funtional is it really?)

It's allways worth a mention, seems obvious but, Internet conections or as important, wireless device's are disabled I guess??

I've often found that drop out's are due to oveload in some device chain, and it can take a few hours or a day, really looking at every possible angle before you find the offending concept which is driving the problem, I feel 'the turning off of a device through automation, is just as much of an issue with the cpu as turning it on' but that's just an idea.

Pop's tend to be from something else, for me it usually means my wireless conection is still on, after I've authorised a new product or something, it's fairly obvious in Live but you can fool your self.

Other than that, your doing the right thing, looking at all your settings for Live and audio devices, + you could look at your paging size, and other optimizations for music as per advice on many computer music related sites.

Good luck with it, it can be a really downer, stoping your workflow and making your DAW a chore, but you'll find it..

Thumbs Up..

I just figured out for me that having more than one MIDI controller attached at a time is causing the problems... wtf, Ableton?????
