I just installed Live 8 and some of the kicks wont play when previewing clips.
It says the sample appears not to be a valid wav.
I then go into the file themselves and get an orange message on the bottom saying the files are either corrupted or not licensed?
I am using a mac and have the latest version 8.01
Would appreciate if anyone could let me know if they have a similar problem or if there is a solution,
Thanks!

Hello,
I haven´t heard of this before.
How many files are these? Can you send me a few examples?

Re: Some Kicks corrupted after installing Live 8
Sure its E Kick 6 wav, E Kick 7 wav and some others.
The file is there but even previewing the file doesn't work, so it sounds as if they have been corrupted somehow.
I deleted them then repaired the library but that didn't do anything, so I have lost the files now.
I guess I need to re install 8?
Its no biggie as its seems to be like 4 kicks and a few snares only....

Re: Some Kicks corrupted after installing Live 8
Hello,
Ok, i think i know the problem - it must be a relict from an old version you had installed.
Your problem affects the following files:
E-Snare 7.wav
E-Snare 7 Reverb.wav
E-Kick 8.wav
E-Kick 5.wav
E-Kick 7.wav
E-Kick 6.wav
To fix this, change the suffix from .wav to .aif.
Let me know if this helps.
best,
Christian

Yep. Fixed. Thanks so much, Christian!
Only thing is that I deleted some of the kicks... how do I get them back?
*I used time machine to get them back... now all working perfectly... thanks again!
