How to raise Simpler polyphony above 32 voices?

Post by Torley » Thu May 21, 2009 1:51 am

I'm very, very fond of the Ballroom Piano sound in my Live Suite 8. However, it seems the Simpler polyphony is limited to 32 (!) voices, which isn't enough for really epic, sustained runs. Is there a way to raise this higher? (It appears Sampler has the same problem?)

Thank you.

I haven't tried this, but you may be able to create a rack with four simplers in parallel.

Load the same sound into each one. Then create a keyboard zone for each one that doesn't overlap with the others. One Simpler does the top 30 notes, the second Simpler does the next lot of 30 notes down and so on. Each Simpler would never see more than 30 notes and the whole rack could have up to 120 voices of polyphony.
