L8.0.4 - Hotswapping, arming, enabling sends make clicks

Hotswapping, arming, enabling sends (even though the sends are set to zero to start) all create very audible clicks.

L8.0.4 / OSX 10.5.7 / Motu Ultralite

Just tried it in 7.0.15 - no clicking.

I assume that you have anything loaded into your Live 8 set which is causing additional latencies (AU/VST plugins, Live devices with a lookahead function, AAS-based instruments, etc). This is causing the clicks, or to be more precise: it's caused by the delay compensation. You should get the same problems if you load similar devices into Live 7. The only way to avoid these clicks is to deactivate delay compensation via the "Options" menu.

Thanks for the fast reply. I tried it with Delay Compensation deactivated and this solved a few issues, namely the clicking when arming on/off and also the flanging/phasing effect in my other post.

However, hot-swapping still caused clicks and then a full crash. I'll send you the log...

Why does 8 click more than 7?

Is disabling the pdc really the solution? I want the delay compensated and without clicks. Isn´t that possible?

WHY?

You can´t insert FX during a live performance otherwise you will have clicked audio. That didn´t happen with 7.

Ableton, are you working on that issues? These definitely are bugs.
